SENSITIVE FEATURES
Health, Sleep and AI Disclosures
DreamIO’s sleep and automated features are optional. This notice describes what leaves the device, when third-party processing occurs, and what these features cannot tell you.
Effective August 19, 2026 · Last updated August 19, 2026
Apple Health
DreamIO requests read-only access to permitted Apple Health sleep information. Raw HealthKit samples are processed on the iPhone and are not uploaded as a complete health record. DreamIO does not write to Apple Health and does not use HealthKit information for advertising, marketing, sale, or unrelated profiling.
Derived sleep details are uploaded only when a person enables a related sharing control. Depending on that choice, a post may include bedtime, wake time, duration, sleep score, and estimated dream timing, or a profile may show a rolling sleep score. These settings can be turned off, and Apple Health permission can be revoked in Apple’s settings.
Cloud transcription and narration
When a person expressly requests transcription, the selected voice recording is sent through DreamIO’s backend to OpenAI to return text. When a person requests narration, the selected dream text and limited style instructions are sent to generate temporary audio. Narration audio is held in app memory for the session rather than saved to the Journal by the narration feature.
Dream Reflection and generated visuals
When requested, Dream Reflection sends the selected eligible dream content for an automated reflective response. Optional character imagery may send a selected, rights-confirmed reference image. Optional Dream World panorama generation sends a constrained scene prompt and, when needed for a consented character feature, the minimum supported reference material to the configured generation providers. Private journal entries are not automatically made public by using these features.
Limits
Sleep scores, dream timing, energy patterns, zodiac reflections, transcriptions, generated scenes, and AI reflections may be incomplete or inaccurate. They are provided for journaling, creativity, personal reflection, or entertainment—not diagnosis, treatment, prediction, crisis response, or professional advice.
