A THOUGHTFUL SPACE
Community Guidelines
Dream IO exists for honest reflection and considerate connection. Dreams can be strange, emotional, dark, funny, or difficult. These guidelines protect room for that honesty without making room for abuse.

Share with care
- Choose Private when a memory is not meant for others.
- Respect people who appear in your dreams; avoid exposing sensitive real-world information.
- Use Anonymous sharing for privacy, never to target or evade accountability.
- Comment on the shared memory without diagnosing, shaming, or claiming certainty about what it means.
Not allowed
- Direct threats, targeted harassment, bullying, stalking, or encouragement of self-harm.
- Sexual exploitation, content involving minors, or non-consensual intimate material.
- Hateful attacks based on protected characteristics.
- Doxxing, impersonation, scams, spam, malware, or attempts to bypass another person’s block.
- Content or activity that violates law or another person’s rights.
Dark dreams are not misconduct
Dreams may describe violence, fear, sex, grief, or disturbing imagery. Context matters. A description of a dream is not treated as a confession or direct threat merely because it is uncomfortable. Moderation focuses on targeted abuse, exploitation, credible danger, and misuse of social features.
Reporting and blocking
Use the three-dot menu to report a dream and Manage Circle to block an account. Reports are reviewed according to urgency. Blocking prevents new social contact and removes shared-circle access.
Possible actions
- Content warning or removal
- Feature restriction
- Account warning, suspension, or deletion
- Preservation or disclosure when legally required or necessary for imminent safety
Emergencies
Dream IO is not monitored as an emergency service. If you or someone else may be in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or an appropriate crisis resource in your location.
