YOUTH SAFETY
Child and Teen Safety Policy
DreamIO is designed for people 13 and older. This policy explains the safeguards used for teenagers and how to report suspected exploitation or an underage account.
Effective August 19, 2026 · Last updated August 19, 2026
Minimum age
DreamIO is not directed to children under 13. Account creation asks for age before an account can use the service, and people must provide accurate information. If DreamIO learns that an account belongs to a child who is not eligible to use the service, the account and associated personal information will be reviewed for prompt removal, subject to preservation required for safety or law.
Parents or guardians who believe an ineligible child created an account may contact support@dreamingio.com or use the protected support form. Include the username and enough information to locate the account, but do not send unnecessary identity documents or private dream content.
Teen safeguards
- Adult and minor accounts are prevented from following, friending, messaging, mentioning, liking, commenting on, or joining group conversations with one another.
- Accounts under 16 cannot access posts marked sexual or graphically explicit.
- A missing or unconfirmed age is treated restrictively until resolved.
- Age and birthday information are not displayed publicly and are locked after confirmation; genuine corrections require support review.
- Blocking and reporting controls are available on social surfaces.
Zero tolerance for exploitation
DreamIO prohibits child sexual abuse material, grooming, sexual solicitation of minors, trafficking, sextortion, and attempts to move a minor into unsafe contact. Accounts or content presenting a credible exploitation risk may be restricted or removed and information may be preserved or reported when required or permitted by law.
How to report
Use in-app Report and Block controls for content or accounts. For suspected child exploitation, choose Safety concern in the protected support form or email support@dreamingio.com with the username, content link if available, and a short description. Do not download, copy, or redistribute suspected illegal material.
DreamIO is not an emergency service. If a child is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. In the United States, reports may also be made to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children CyberTipline.
Parent and guardian requests
DreamIO may request limited information reasonably necessary to verify a request and protect the account from unauthorized disclosure. Verification information is used only to handle the request and is deleted when no longer necessary, unless retention is legally required.
